I kick started this week with my friends wedding, I haven’t been a guest at wedding since 2006!  The rad and insanely talented Thierry Boudan shot their wedding (check out his gorgeous work at www.thierryboudanphotography.com).

We then went away for a few days and when I got back there was a stack of boxes waiting for me!  You gotta love getting deliveries!  Some gorgeous albums and canvases had arrived…. and……………………. my brand new/pre-loved camera! I’m so in love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Tasmanian devil is suffering a dramatic population decline due to devil facial tumour disease (DFTD).

What is Devil Ark?

Devil Ark is an important component of the STTDP insurance population strategy to avert the extinction of the Tasmanian devil. It is an initiative of the Australian Reptile Park in partnership with the Zoos and Aquaria of Australasia (ZAA) and the Foundation for Australia’s Most Endangered Species (FAME). By breeding healthy ‘wild-type’ devils within high standards of animal welfare in a wild-type environment, Devil Ark will provide the most significant component of the mainland insurance population intended for eventual return to the Tasmanian landscape.

The owners of the Australian Reptile Park have already invested over $500,000 in establishing and maintaining its intensively managed holding of 40-50 mature Tasmanian devils – perhaps the largest non-government contribution to the cause to date. However, for the next and most critical step – the establishment of Devil Ark – financial support is needed.

Jess & Luke were married in a beautiful ceremony at the top of the waterfall at Hunter Valley Gardens.  Despite the horrible weather of the past week the couple were blessed with a bright sunny day!

We caught up with the Sweetman kids again for some more fun portraits on their Quirindi farm.  The chooks had certainly grown a lot since the last time we were there and it was great seeing their gorgeous canvases decorating their home from their last shoot!!!
